As part of its 2026-2027 Youth Policy, the Artois-Picardie Water Agency is leading the initiative « The Role of 15-25 Year Olds in the Water Debate. » This initiative aims to strengthen the involvement of young people aged 15 to 25 in issues related to water, biodiversity, and climate change, positioning them as active participants in the public debate and the ecological transition. To achieve this objective, a class of students in the BTS DATR (Development and Facilitation of Territorial Projects) program at the Sainte-Marie High School in Aire-sur-la-Lys was mobilized to design an educational orientation program with the Pas-de-Calais Federation for Fishing and the Protection of Aquatic Environments at the Ballastières ponds.
